Please be aware that all of our TV projects or invitations are only done on behalf of me, Olaf Rudolfsen. Not on behalf of our TV channels such as NRK, TV2, etc. We represent ourselves as freelancers and as an independent TV production company. Like any other production company, we must pitch all of our ideas and programs that we produce to the relevant TV channels that may be interested. We consistently do not take payment for editorial coverage. Only in the context of producing information videos or advertisements do we charge our clients. In the past, there has been a focus on product placement and the mixing of finances, especially from independent producers directed towards national TV channels, including ourselves, in the media. Therefore, we want to clarify this to avoid misunderstandings, as has happened in the past. This is our absolute and consistent practice.

Norway plays an important role in providing emergency aid to Sudan, both through the UN. We went there to document illegal activity and ende up on a very dangerous flight into the Nuba Mountains. We was shot down by local military ground forces.

NRK Midt i Smørøyet in Eritrea
In 1996 Olaf Rudolfsen invited NRK Midt i Smørøyet to join for a project in Eritrea. “Midt i Smørøyet” was a popular program serie for the Youth Department. We produced a one hour TV Program in this dangerous, but still beautiful country, in the Horn of Africa.
How we work with our customers
As we pointed out earlier all our TV projects or invitations are only done on behalf of Olaf Rudolfsen. Not on behalf of any TV channels such as NRK, TV2 etc. Olaf Rudolfsen represent him self as a freelancer and as a stand-alone TV Producer. Similar to all other production companies, there is always a marketing and in-selling process between the producer and the TV Channel of interest. He do not consistently charge for editorial publicity. Only in connection with productions of information videos and commercials that are paid by customers. Previously, there has been some negative focus on “product placement” and merging of finances, especially from stand-alone producers directed at national TV channels, including him, in the media before. Therefore it’s important here to clarify all this, so there will not be any type of misunderstandings connected to this issue that will pop up in future projects.
